Malaysia My Second Home, commonly known as MM2H, is a long-term residency programme that allows eligible foreigners to reside in Malaysia with a renewable Social Visit Pass and Multiple Entry Visa.

The current MM2H programme includes several categories, including Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Special Economic Zone / Special Financial Zone. Each category has different requirements for fixed deposit, pass duration, property purchase, and fees.

The right category depends on your budget, preferred pass duration, age group, property planning, and long-term objectives in Malaysia. Platinum is suitable for premium long-term planning, Gold offers a balanced long-term option, Silver provides a more accessible entry option, and SEZ / SFZ is for applicants interested in the special zone pathway.

Yes. Fixed deposit is one of the key financial requirements under MM2H. The amount depends on the selected category. Platinum requires USD 1,000,000, Gold requires USD 500,000, Silver requires USD 150,000, while SEZ / SFZ requires USD 65,000 for applicants aged 21–49 and USD 32,000 for applicants aged 50 and above.

A partial withdrawal of up to 50% may be allowed after approval for approved purposes such as residence purchase, medical treatment, education, and tourism activities in Malaysia, subject to official approval and documentation.

Yes, property purchase is part of the current MM2H requirements. The minimum property value depends on the selected category. Platinum requires RM2,000,000 or above, Gold requires RM1,000,000 or above, Silver requires RM600,000 or above, while SEZ / SFZ requires qualifying property in Forest City, Johor.

Under the current programme conditions, the purchased residence generally may not be sold for 10 years, unless it is upgraded to another residence of higher value, subject to the official programme terms.

Eligible dependents may include spouse, children, parents, parents-in-law, and medically certified children with disabilities, subject to official conditions. Dependent eligibility should be reviewed carefully before application.

The general minimum stay requirement is 90 cumulative days per year, subject to category and age conditions. Applicants should confirm the latest requirement based on their selected category and personal profile before proceeding.

MM2H applications should be submitted through a licensed MM2H company or registered MM2H agent. A licensed agent helps applicants prepare documents, submit the application, and follow up with the relevant process.

The pass duration depends on the category. Platinum is 20 years, Gold is 15 years, Silver is 5 years, and SEZ / SFZ is 10 years. Renewal is subject to the latest official conditions and compliance with programme requirements.
